Sword Main Formation, Help please

Hi, i have a sword main and im doing pretty well PVE but i'm having trouble in PVP, i've lost to people lower lvl than me 3 times in a row ><, this is my formation, main is lvl 70 and the rest are between 60-69. I've also got a Gunner in my merc room.

I've been thinking of getting a prophet instead of my archer and an oracle instead of my shaman but i heard noble sacrifice is rly good.

If you wanna survive in PvP, you'd better not put any spearmen in front line, at least not before the lvl 80 upgrade.

The exorcist doesn't need to be behind the witch because he's the one with the best magic defense alongside her, better than the beastmaster's anyway.

I personnally don't like witch frontliners because, as much as they can only be hit by skills, they still don't have that many HP. If you wanna keep her there, you'd better put your frontline spearman behind her. I use my witch in the middle to prevent cannon-users to target the maximum amount of mercs.

I'd also replace the archer by the prophet. The dark archer is indeed promising, but lvl 100 is far away and you can always put her in the merc room of course. Having five melee mercs (like me), the prophet'll be invaluable.

As for the oracle, I took her instead of the shaman. Noble sacrifice can indeed turn the tide of a FL match (although you still immediately lose 100 points for her death), but the oracle's heal is much better than blessing and with your two spears, you might wanna use Seth's will.

In PvE, at lvl 70, you could put your main in front line, at least for everything except the shadow dungeons.

SOrry, i just noticed i put the wrong formation ><, i actually hav a viking not a second spearman, so now i think my formation is going to look more like this:

Ugh even worse, that frontline is going down, FAST!

Although wraith doesn't like frontline witch, your 3 frontliners are precisely the kind of mercs that would be better off behind a front witch than in front and dying fast to magic hits.

And with lvl 80 upgrade, a mount, spearmaster rings, your sword main can go in front in pvp (not always in pve)

1. With this new patch update, physical dmg has been nerfed, seth will not as effective as b4. you're better off freeze & lightning spear appropriately.
2. While an oracle is good in pve, in pvp, the shaman is regaining popularity due to the ridiculous dmg the sudden death timer does. IT FKING KILLED me when i had 2k+ hp (axe main). And I killed 3 more mercs than opponent. He only survived cuze my exo died in the last min and I couldn't mana seal his noble sac shaman so I died to timer 1st.
And the oracle, on average, heals about 300+ [this is vit i'm talkin abt, so the diff in heal could possibly be wider for mercs with better mdef] more when both lvl 60. Whether that makes a diff to you, well thats ur choice. But I'm retraining a shaman for noble sac.
