ok this is a bit controversial and it doesnt make any sense to me and im wonder if u can help me out.

In Free League, my warrior does around 900 dmg fire sword lvl 40 to another warrior but my spearman does 1100 dmg lightning spear lvl 40 to the warrior. We all know that fire sword is stronger then lightning spear but why does it do so little dmg to another warrior? Normally is does 2k dmg to spearman and vikings. Just doesnt make any sense.

vikings have low magic defence so any magic attack owns them. its like almost 0 thats why they suck endgame and arent used often later on

You read my post wrong. Fire sword is normally stronger compared to Lightning spear but when casted on a Warrior Lightning spear is strong then Fire sword. why is that?

Swordsmen (and only them) get an innate resistance to flame sword.

do only swordsman have that kind of resistance? When i use lightning spear on a spearman, it does around 1300 dmg.

Swordsmen mercenaries (not mains) are the only recruitable unit in game that has any kind of resistance outside what def/mdef provides as far as i know.

No :rolleyes:, lightning spear just has about half the damage of a flame sword.

They did do that on purpose... thats why swordsmen make the best tanks hands down.

it just doesn't make complete sense to give swordsman special resistance to fire sword

The truth is, BT surprisingly has slightly better mdef than swordman, just the sword resistance to his own move makes a lot of mercs look like flamesword fodder.

Actually swords have quite higher mdef than BT because of the shield :).
