So? Refund vials are already a pain in the butt to farm and since they're also usable they should be gone REALLY quickly. Though I do think that last weekend's crystal giveaway where anyone on all the time got 40 dragon crystals was a bit much...

they did a good job giving free stuff every weekend but always falls on 4am or other sleeping time at my place T_T,i have to leave my comp on just for the event...but meh,free stuff ...=D

There are hardly any of these on the market. Unlike 50 dragon crystals per person, this is going to have no real impact on the market economy. However the usefulness of the items is somewhat diminished because nobody really knows how the base stats affect character attributes anyway; so how do we know what's worth resetting?

lol ppl juz sells them for some fast cash...like the dragon crystal,u gonna be seeing 100k refund vials instead of the usual 500k on these few days

Yes, hardly any because people for the most part:
A) Don't have enough spare referal points to sell
B) Resetting some of the quests can take a good amount of time for a few refund vials
C) Don't have a "solid" demand for it

Stats that are unnecessary to a mercs performance are worth resetting.
Ex. Strength on Long-Range/Staff Mercs.

Note: Keep in mind, everything given to a mass amount of players affects the market. Even if it is just one per player.

that is good, it allow the poor ppl to get access to some of these rich class exclusive items.

can' wait until they give out free divine armor or something xD

I really enjoy the weekend give aways but the only grip i have is when they give it all to low lv players it really affects the market. Most ppl would think it only affect the price in this case the vials but that is not true. When you have all the ppl suddenly getting these item selling them for some quick money expecially the new players. even if u sell them cheap netting you about 1-2mil that floods the market for every other item that they may purcahse. With that it cause all price to fly up like crazy. for example crystal price like giant and redem went up 2-3x it normal price because everyone who netted the extra cash now purchase everything they see in the market not caring what it cost. That drain the supply and since it was easy money no one want to farm them anymore or work for it.

Massive influx of supply during giveaway, price plummet. On macedon most crystals went down to about 20-25k. They gave out what, 40 crystals total?

How much is 800K going to last a lowbie? Enough to get himself comfortably into the 30s or 40s.

But wait...then even if a noob made a mil selling crystals...he's gonna need crystals himself now as he levels up. Darn. Back to farming. But fortunately, with better gear that he purchased. Maybe if he had kept them he would have been at least 40/50 GCs for just level 20 of a BM.

I'm quite certain the rise in cost of crystals as you claim of 2-3x (though it's pretty much stayed the same on Macedon) is only the result of a giveaway in so much that it lets a higher population of lowbies get a boost up to the point where they need crystals themselves. Demand kicks in, prices go up.

There's also things I would rant about the effect of the farmer force, but no one believes me when I go off about them.

yeah, i was wondering what these were when I looked at the giveaway?.. and now I see them and still dont know what they do, so I think i will packrat them for awhile, and then after that, I can either use them, if I see a use, or sell them at a higher price than now..

I used some of the dragon crystals, ... I think 2.. to make some multi-hued shards.. so I dont think I will sell those either, with everyone saying how hard it is to find them.. :(

totally... why try to sell them off ASAP when you can just hold onto them for a few days? Simple logic really. Sucks to be the people that made their money farming those dragon crystals, but they do complain a lot on the official forums haha.

or hold them so you don't have to buy them to upgrade canonneer...people seem to forget you're gonna need 150 of em

exactly, even though class c mercs are in general better than class d mercs, some of them simply just dont fit and I've grown accustomed to my mercs that I dont want to replace one after Ive used him/her all game.

These little give-aways are fine, but giving away 40 dragon crystals to every player is a little extreme. Even until today, the dragon crystal's price still hasn't recovered and still lingers around 200-300k each.

STR vial is the one with the most obvious application. People are afraid to use DEX vials because it might lower their dodge or hit rates, but STR refund on a magic staff user is kinda a no brainer.

I wonder why anyone would want to use a VIT refund vial, lol

on thebes I was able to sell off my dex vials for 20k a peice but teh virt are only going for 2k hehe as far as the dragon crystals go I recall that it was only for players lvl 30 and up .. so not all players. Saddley my wife pulled me away from the game that weekend so all I got was one crystal box but it was enough to get my lvl 50 ring quest done hehe :)

People are using them now and the devs have vaguely pointed out the importance of stats to their respective classes in the last player Q&A.

The simple fact that they were 500-800k before the event should be enough reason to snap some up and re-work some of your mercs. It can be really frustrating to spend cash on resetting 5 points to get it right back with the next growth vial though- LOL.
