Below are all the titles available. This guide is updated rarely - the best place to check on this guide is at Atlantica-DB (http://www.atlantica-db.com/forum/guides-tutorials-f4/titles-effects-and-how-get-them-t45.html)

The first four sets of titles are ones you can get from one of the women outside of Athens by doing quests - there are four of them. You can only do one quest from each woman at a time (for a total of four title quests going at once, one from each woman). When you finish a quest for them, you must go back and turn in the quest, at which point they will give you an item (it looks like an envelope). You have to right-click on and use the item and you will now be able to use that title.

The easiest way to get to these women if you're over level 20 but don't have the Athen's teleport information is to teleport to Rome using the button on the right of your screen that looks like an arch, then walk outside Rome and go to Athens. If you're under 20, you'll have to walk there. You can auto-walk to any of the four women by opening up the quest log and selecting them at the top of the log (Pandora, Kleio, Calliope, or Thalia) and then clicking on 'Auto-move to NPC'. Be careful - you may run into mobs so take care when auto-walking!

The second set of titles are only available by getting more fame points through Free League. The top few ranks are limited by a certain number of people who can have that title. They give no buffs.

The third set of titles are given out each month to the top 10 spenders at Medici. Every month (real time) on the 14th, the top 10 spenders on Medici's Gold Boxes and Medici's Platinum Boxes from the last month are calculated, and those 10 people receive one of two titles (one for the top spender, one for the next nine top spenders) for the next month, until the 14th of the following month. These titles can be active the entire month and have no time limit. You can check your rank at any time by speaking to Medici.

The last title, Fool, was given out on April Fool's day on April 1, 2010 to anyone logged on for at least an hour. It wasn't supposed to last past April 6, 2010, but it hasn't been removed yet. It's unknown at this time if they will keep this title or eventually remove it. If they do keep it, they may create another way that it can be obtained.

To choose your title, go to My Info -> Character and choose your title from the drop down menu of titles. You can switch your titles at any time, and it does not cost anything to do so.

Most titles give some sort of buff for a certain period of time. To activate the buff, simply go to My Info -> Character and choose your title as above. Your buff will instantly start for the specified period of time. You can only use the buff once per day, resetting at 6 AM PST. You cannot choose a title without activating the buff. However, if you've already used the buff for that day, you can still choose the title - it just won't give you the buff. When a buff is up, you will get a notice across your screen indicating this fact. You will still have that title selected and displayed until you change it. Buffs do not apply during Free League or Challenges. Free League titles do not have any buffs. It is impossible to stack title buffs, as to have the buff active, you must have your title displayed.

There are some additional notes at the end.

Format is Title name - Quest requirements - Buff. A monster's name x a number means you have to kill that number of monsters.

Notes:

Bonuses to workload are only for the workload you get while fighting monsters. It does not affect auto-crafting in any way. It doesn't matter if you're getting workload for personal crafting or guild crafting.

When there's just an item with a number, it means you have to turn those items into the NPC and you will lose them. However, you can buy them from the market instead of getting them yourselves if you so desire.

Deathproof - You must be level 100 or higher to start the Deathproof title quest.

Demonologist - If you're doing the Demonologist title quest, do it early, before you hit 31, if you can. Scrolls are much cheaper at that level. Also, getting a bonus scroll in PvP does not count towards your quest number needed. If you can't find any other scrolls on the market, check out Mana Piercing scrolls. Each of them has a fixed price (Scroll of Mana Piercing [|] - 500, Scroll of Mana Piercing [II] - 5,000, Scroll of Mana Piercing [III] - 30,000, and Scroll of Mana Piercing [IV] - 60,000). However, typically (depending on server and availability), Scroll of Dispel [III] are cheaper.

Linguistic Genius - Persuading residents for the Linguistic Genius title means convincing the wandering residents to go to your town. You get a certain number of people for each of the wandering residents you convince - usually between 50 and 200 people. You cannot do this quest unless your guild owns a town.

Fishing Maniac, Gambler - When you have to do something that can fail (fishing for the Fishing Maniac title, gambling equipment boxes for the Gambler title), it only counts if you succeed. For the gambling of boxes, each box you get back (including one count each for multiple boxes at once) counts as one success. So if you get back three boxes after trading in 9, you get three successes on your quest.

Gambler - You must be level 60 or higher to start the Gambler title quest.

Some of these may require you to re-do quests by using Secret of Time licenses - available on the market or by crafting licenses.

Forgotten, Smelling Flowery, Blessed - Chardin's Perfume is from the Discovering Great Perfume quest at level 52. It's needed to make the Secret Vial of Memory Loss and the Father's Holy Water, as well as for completing the Smelling Flowery title quest. To get more than one perfume, cancel the quest as soon as you receive the perfume, then speak with Chardin again. He will give you another perfume bottle. Cancel it again (and again, and again) until you have as many perfume bottles as you want. Get one more in order to continue the quest. Currently, to do all the title quests that require Chardin's perfume and to continue your quest, you would need a total of 8 bottles of perfume (Five for the Smelling Flowery title, one for the Forgotten title, one for the Blessed title, and one to finish the quest). If you have already completed this quest, you can reset it by buying or making a Secrets of Time: Discovering Great Perfume license and speaking with Hui Chao.

Chef - The Fish Stew is under quest crafting. It's used for the Navigator's Dream quest at level 73 and for the Dinosaur Master quest at level 88. Materials are listed on Atlantica-db.

Cursed Swordsman - You must be level 50 or higher to start the Cursed Swordsman title quest.

Guardian of Detroit - You get Guardian's Badges from the daily Enrique Mas quest. You receive 5 badges for completing the quest, and if you do not need to get the Gang's Secret Room Key from the Sheriff's Commodity Box (the key drops from several mobs inside the dungeon), you can instead choose 1 Guardian's Badge.

Samantha's Friend - You get the Star Badge from the level 109 Silent Detroit skirmish dungeon quest.

Forgotten - The Secret Vial for Memory Loss is under quest crafting (it is not the Secret Vial of Amnesia from the item mall). Materials are listed on Atlantica-db.

Forgotten, Night Ruler - Secret Vial of Night is from the Exorcist Recruiting quest at level 57. Like the Chardin's perfume above, you can get seven of them at once (one to complete the quest, one to make the Secret Vial of Memory Loss, and five to make the Walpurgis' Spirits) by canceling the quest as soon as you get the Secret Vial of Night and then speaking with Citratus again and accepting the quest again. Do this multiple times. To complete all the current title quests, you need a total of seven of these vials. If you have already completed this quest, you can reset it by buying or making a Secrets of Time: Exorcist license and speaking with Hui Chao.

Blessed - Father's Holy Water is under quest crafting and requires a Knight's Holy Water from the Lady Knight Recruiting quest at level 95, other materials are listed on Atlantica-db. Like the Chardin's perfume above, you can get two Knight's Holy Water at once (one to complete the quest line, one to make the Knight's Holy Water) by canceling the quest as soon as you get the Knight's Holy Water and then speaking with Janet again and accepting the quest once more. If you have already completed this quest, you can reset it by buying or making a Secrets of Time: Lady Knight license and speaking with Hui Chao.

Blessed - You must be level 90 or higher to start the Blessed title quest.

Curious - The Strange Rock Shard is the final reward from the Curious Scientist quest at level 74. It's a box that you can also find on the market. If you have already completed this quest, you can reset it by buying or making a Secrets of Time: Curious Scientist license and speaking with Hui Chao.

Noble - Fausta's Hand Mirror is a reward from the Princess Fausta Quest at level 96. She gives you Fausta's Wedding Box at the end of the quest, and you can either choose the hand mirror (only useful for this title) or two Conqueror's Equipment Boxes from it. If you have already completed this quest, you can reset it by buying or making a Secrets of Time: Fausta license and speaking with Hui Chao.

Night Ruler - Walpurgis' Spirits and Heart of Darkness are under quest crafting and materials are listed on Atlantica-db.

Night Ruler - The Crest of Niflheim is from the Guardian Frigg Quest at level 93. She gives you this quest item to read. To get two of them - one for crafting and one to complete the quest - cancel the quest as soon as you receive the Crest and then accept the quest again. If you have already completed this quest, you can reset it by buying or making a Secrets of Time: Guardian license and speaking with Hui Chao.

Night Ruler - You must be level 100 or higher to start the Night Ruler title quest.

Divine Punisher - In order to get the Divine Punisher title from Thalia, you must have the Priest title from Calliope. It will appear in the options for quests from Thalia once you have the Priest title.

Brave Chief - You get the Inuit Tribe's Signs from the Great Inuit Tribe quests at level 98 from Chief Notoqchen, near Frozen Adlivun.

Collectomaniac - You get the Historia Seals from doing Solicitor and Dispatcher quests, which are reset daily. You must be level 96 or higher to start this title quest.

Holy Knight, Assassin, Priest, Alchemist, Bard - The Revelation: Noun items are quest items. They look like skill reset books, and are non-tradeable (of course, as they are quest items).

You need to have one of the quests and then go fight mobs inside the Constantinople Battlefield. You will get an item for that quest occasionally (like other quest drop items). YOU MUST HAVE THE QUEST IN ORDER TO GET THE ITEM. However, it will limit the drops you get of *other* things - such as quest items. You can always cancel the title quest at any time if you're not getting enough quest items for your normal quest and the revelation items will be left in your inventory. Just remember to pick up the title quest again from Calliope. Also, only certain monsters drop certain Revelation:Noun items. There is currently no compilation of all the monsters that drop each type. Feel free to post if you have some information about who drops what.

Hand of God - The Hand of God quest is for enhancing an item to grade 10, not enchanting an item to grade 10. That means you need to speak to Vulcanus in Rome and use enhance stones, not enchant stones. (See a guide on enhancing and enchanting for more details about this). THIS MEANS DO NOT MAKE TWO +9 ITEMS AND THEN ENCHANT THEM TOGETHER OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

Hand of God - You must be level 50 or higher to start the Hand of God title quest.

Greedy - Mercenary's Steel Boxes for the Greedy quest are only given by the wandering monks and vikings. You must convince them to join your party (using 100% will and some money) while your party is full. Artillerymen do not give steel boxes. Note that you can start convincing wandering mercenaries as soon as you hit level 30, and the amount you have to give the mercenary to get them to join you goes up every time you level. It may be worthwhile to create an alt character, level them to 30, and use them only for getting the boxes, until you have the amount you need. Mercenary's Steel Boxes are tradeable.

Strategist - Winning a battle with at least two mercenaries in the unavailable status for the Strategist title means going to the formation window and unchecking one of the boxes for two of your mercenaries so they are 'ghosted out' during the battle and you can't use them. It does not mean the mercenary has to be unconscious, and you do not have to have more than two unavailable.

Sheriff, Legendary Sheriff - The Detroit Badges are a reward from the daily repeatable Wanted Board quests. There are four quests, and each quest gives as a reward 5 Detroit Badges. The badges are not tradeable. You can get extra badges from the Enrique Mas daily quest. If you do not need to get the Gang's Secret Room Key from the Sheriff's Commodity Box (the key drops from several mobs inside the dungeon), you can instead choose 20 Detroit Badges.

Pajama Hound - The Cute Pajamas are a drop from mobs inside Silent Detroit. You can get them from any mob in Silent Detroit if you have both the title quest and Amy's Clothes Bag quest from the Roboto's Love sidequest. If you do not have Amy's quest, they will not drop from random mobs in Detroit. They also drop in the Gang's Secret Room, even if you do not have this quest. (Note: If two or more people are partying together in this room, and one has this quest while the other does not, if the person without the quest loots, both players will get these items. If the player with the quest loots, the person without the quest will get nothing). If you do not need to get the Gang's Secret Room Key from the Sheriff's Commodity Box (the key drops from several mobs inside the dungeon), you can instead choose 80 Cute Pajamas.

You can only have one free league title at a time, and as your fame changes, so does which title you can choose - either up or down.

I believe that's all. Please let me know if there's anything unclear or confusing!

If you get one of the seargent - general titles then your fame goes down or other pass you do you lose that title? Or do you just achieve it once and then you can use it forever.

I am not 100% certain, but from how the other free league titles work, I would guess that you would lose that title. With the other free league titles, if you lose the fame, you lose the title - for instance, I was at Scout, but didn't participate in free league for several weeks, and when I looked at my title choices again, I was back to Soldier.

The Revelations: Noun items are apparently not in the game yet - or at least, no one's found them.
They are in the game although the mob is not listed, only found what drops Revelation: Honor thus far.

These are actually in Devil's Forest - Prison of the Night 2F.

I have the mob info too, and I can tell you definitively that it's wrong. While there are Cursed Mummys in machine shrine, they are ALSO in the valley of kings. It's the second mob where I've found that it lacked complete location info.

Actually the only "Cursed Mummy" is in Sunken Machine Shrine. Mini Bosses in Valley of the Kings; Sillent Cannoneer & Hell's Watch Dog. Mobs in Valley of the Kings containing "Mummy"; Grey Mummy, White Mummy, Mummy Magician, Ancient Mummy, Forgotten Mummy. Night Guard has a Mummy-style model.

Mob info at time of post: 57.7%

Actually the only "Cursed Mummy" is in Sunken Machine Shrine. Mini Bosses in Valley of the Kings; Sillent Cannoneer & Hell's Watch Dog. Mobs in Valley of the Kings containing "Mummy"; Grey Mummy, White Mummy, Mummy Magician, Ancient Mummy, Forgotten Mummy. Night Guard has a Mummy-style model.

Mob info at time of post: 57.7%
*backs Nightroad up* I've farmed Valley of the Kings a *lot*, due to the gap between quests around level 72, and I've never once found a Cursed Mummy. They are only at the Sunken Machine Shrine.

They are in the game although the mob is not listed, only found what drops Revelation: Honor thus far.

What drops it? Please, please, please share? I'll give you a cookie! And any clue why they're not in item info?

how do u check your progress on certain titles??

Meloku, read the first few paragraphs about how to start the quests. You can only have one quest from each woman active at a time.

Deathproof - Use Mandragora x 444 mostly can be acquired at sea king palace travel
Not true - mandragora are from secret material chests, which start dropping at the Hanging Gardens. You have a choice from the chest of either a mandragora or a growth vial [adv]

Not for Goncourt, no - I'm pretty sure it always stays the same limit. And yeah, that one's a sucky one - it forces you to take several days to do it, like the fishing one (there's only so many fish you can get in one day, even fishing afk 24/7).

Very nice guide.

To bad I won't need since I'm going for one and only title:

Santa Claus! :]

Currently at 776/1k (Fyi, I'm like the only person I know who didn't macro 1k gold gifts to get this title, just a lot of work and walacha weps/anu armors!)

I did every single one of them manually :). I admit, I gave up and responding to all the thank yous after around 300 of them =\

It really, really helps to split them up and aim for small groups of them - 'oh, I'll get 100 of them and then stop' for instance. It's still pretty maddening, but it's not too horribly bad. The best are ones that you can hope for drops or something from - a guildie is doing the puppeteer quest, and gets to look forward to redemption crystals. If the mobs are mixed in with other ones, though, you need a patrol license. And it's best to do them when you're high level - that way you can just toss on auto-battle and sit back and read a book.

Ferishi

I tried to do the Puppeteer one while I farmed for Redemption crystals in various two and three-man parties.

But at the end the title is probably worth it. I myself have started a few but probably not going to aim for any crazy ones. Okay! New info about the Revelation: Noun items. The items *are* in the game, and count as quest items. They look like skill reset books, and are non-tradeable (of course, as they are quest items).

You need to have one of the quests and then go fight mobs inside the Constantinople palace. You will get an item for that quest occasionally (like other quest drop items). YOU MUST HAVE THE QUEST IN ORDER TO GET THE ITEM. However, it will limit the drops you get of *other* things - a guildie suggests waiting until you've done all the quest drops you need first, as it slows you down. I believe all the quests drop from the same mobs. I haven't tested this out myself yet, as I'm not high enough level, but that's the situation as I understand it.

They don't actually seem to take that long - my guildie is up to 280 of them and only started late last week - but they slow down his quest drops something fierce. It's to the point he cancels the quest (the items stick around like other quest items) when he needs other quest drops and then picks it up again when he's done. It's also a very difficult area, so keep that in mind when you want to do the quest.

I haven't actually done this quest myself (mandragora are expensive!), but, like the healing pots, I would guess you can use them on a merc instead of your main. So use life pots a lot instead, I guess, unless you're at over 10,000 hp.

And yes while the original thread poster does go into clarifications on most of the titles, who is to say that EVERY SINGLE ONE is covered. Your question is the same reason why the information about that title (and the Blessed one) were added to the original post. Lots of people didn't know where they were from. The revelation titles are a little special. You first have to take the quest from Calliope. Then you have to go fight mobs in the Constantinople Battlefield (you need to be 96+ to even get inside). The mobs will occasionally drop the Revelation you're currently on - it's a quest item that only drops when you have the title quest. Once you get 500 of them you can turn them in. They don't disappear if you give up the quest, so you can give up the quest and keep the items as needed (if it's slow to get other quest items).

Does that make more sense?

Due to new updates, perhaps this guide would like to extend itself to the buffs of the titles? I believe the buffs are from these titles but I'm, however, not sure.

Titles are, in fact, the source for some new buffs. As information is added, I will update the wiki with it.

Link is here, by the way: http://www.myatlanticaonline.com/wiki/index.php/Titles

The format has yet to be decided, so I'll add info as it's posted in this thread. Thanks! :)

well, from the look of ziv's site and translation XD, a majority of the titles give atk, def, exp bonus for intervals of 40-60 minutes...so if you plan to play 24 hours, that's at least 24 titles to go through heh...don't be like that sc person now O_o. Anyways, any idea if buff's stack?

Anyways, any idea if buff's stack?

As soon as you choose another title for a buff, you lose the old buff. So title buffs cannot stack. Guild buffs and title buffs do appear to stack, however.

hmm .. titles become pretty usefull now .. but still some titles are way to hard and long to complete for just those bonuses ... power pots are way easier to use !

just used my little Curious title to test it .... 15% physical def + 10% more exp for 40 min .. its decent enough compared to how long it takes to do Puppeteer and other like it

Thought I'd contribute some of the effects from the title's I've received.
Not sure which npc gives it so I'm reluctant to edit it.
Monster Expert: atk +10% 60mins
...Seems like you got the other few titles I've have. heh

Please do not be reluctant to edit the wiki. If you have only partial information, enter what you do have and leave the bits you are not sure about blank. Someone else will fill in the blanks later.

Really nice guide, thanks. :)

Are the quests are easy as they look? Some of them look to be lengthy, but not exactly difficult. For example, is a +3% for attack really worth 1000 crab warriors?

Weeeell... just think about them like this: Before there were buffs, people did it *just* for the words in front of their name. ;) And some of the quests are easier than others - for instance, some of the mobs are in groups just by themselves (all 4-7-9 mobs are of one type) and some are mixed up with other mobs (0-1-2-3 per group).

hmm I have a question about some of the special title quests. If I have already completed for example Chardin's quest line, how do I obtain the perfume for making father's holy water? Is the item tradable and I just need to beg some lower lvl who is doing the quest to sell me some or what?

*edit* and the 1000 potion title was so easy lol. 112k for potions. put them on my character and spammed the F1 key while in town haha, took a surprisngly long time to spam those potions xD

Hi waffles! :)

Yes, as Kaiten said, there is a reset license for Chardin;s quest.
It's called "secrets of time: discovering great perfume" or something along those lines.

You can always try beggin I guess but you won;t get very far as chardin;s perfume is non-tradable.

Hehe, yo! o/

Ya it turns out it wasnt the quest I thought it was so I was able to get the title.

Anyone tried eating a mandragora yet to see if it affects your main no matter what or if you can just kill one of your mercs? 444 deaths to your main will really add up lol.

Kaiten, when you update the main post on page one with new data, do you mind posting the information here as well? That is, posting what you're updating when you update it. That way as I try to update the wiki I don't have to double-back through all the lists again. If it isn't possible, then I'll keep doing it the way I have been. Hehe. Please let me know, thanks!

A note that Divine Punisher requires you to have the Priest title. Also, with the top 50 FL titles, they seem to update once per day, rather than the moment you enter the top 50 (in fame, not based on HoF). So you may be still a Knight after breaking well beyond 20k but after 6AM (I think) it should update to reflect your actual position.

Nice guide there, sticky pls!

If you get one of the seargent - general titles then your fame goes down or other pass you do you lose that title? Or do you just achieve it once and then you can use it forever.

None of the PvP titles are permanent. If your fame drops below the required amount for a certain title, you lose that title, same with the seargent - general titles, if your fame drops below the required 20k, or if your rank isnt high enough, you dont keep the title.

Here is the quick and dirty way of getting the Gambler Title. Anyone over 100 should have no trouble with this.

List(order not necessarily important, except first and last step)
1. Start Jackpot
2. Go to Sea Palace / Sea Palace Courtyard.
3. Engage Sword Dancers, kill all
4. Loot until you get a Sea King's Equipment Box(SKEB).
;if yes SKEB is in JP , end.
; else if no, clear JP and repeat step 3 and 4.
5. Now after having the 'seed' set up in JP, go get a decent box in jackpot. You want at a minimum, the most valued item in the JP to be a Conqueror's Equipment Box.
You now need the JP to add up to about 45 million gold. I think 30 Conqueror's or 15 Freezing, maybe 8 Divine would be the tops if you only had a stack of one of those types in your jackpot. You don't want too much because you can't get more than 100,000 of any item in a jackpot
i got about 83k of these w/ a jackpot in total worth about 50m.

Overall you might need between 110,000 to 150,000 SKEB to do this title.

After you get this massive pile of boxes, go gamble them 500 at a time.

Do this till you are done. Quest over, you could complete it in one weekend using Goonzu to pack the jackpot. If you focused on this method, you will finish it faster than you could ever have imagined possible. Do so now before they change things.:femalehero:
