Small Exp books..

Do you ever get other exp books from being in a party, or any other way other than buying them, if they do exist?.. as you get higher in level?

I'm level 86 and it's still the only exp book I've been getting. Honestly, I don't think it's going to change as I level either. Then again I could be wrong (it's happened before).

If you don't mind paying a bit of gold just go exchange them for higher level books from goncourt. Every 400 smalls = 1 adv exp book =D

what lvl are you flexor, and is your party a 4 person, or are you all about the same lvl?

you only get small exp book(100exp).
It depend on ur lvl to see how many books you get.
when you fight somethings close to ur lvl, i notice when you are

and etc.

At level 81 now and I get thousands of books these days. I use them to level my mercs, like I'm going to have to get a princess and level her now. :/

Heh, I just keep em in my inventory untill I find goncourt, then I change em all to 1k books then to 10k books.

I can't be bothered with wasting will on 100/1k exp books...
10k exp seems reasonable though, every 100 will = 100k exp.

I believe at level 100 you will get 1k exp books - couse always get lvl/10 exp books. And at level 100 thats 10, and 10x 100 exp book are 1000. So i think you will get 1x 1000 exp book, not 10x 100. :D

You can get regular and advanced xp books from free league or from answering help requests. However, even at level 98 (highest guildie), you still get small xp books from battling while in a party.

Money for time. Get a new merc and just skip the first 30-40 levels. Combo it with quests, my oracle is almost 40 before I entered first battle with it.

so far from my own experience i notice when you party with ppl, and if you hunt with mob close to your lv u will get (your lv / 10 rounded down) so if you are lv 66 you will get 6 small xp book. If you hunt lower lv stuff you will get less.

As for adv books i only gotten them when i solo and if i ever get adds of 3 party , i will start getting normal xp books and if the lv mob i hunt is above me it turns to adv books but it does not follow the formula above. you get a lot less.

They also come from FL fights as rewards for winning. Maybe you won a div 15 fight and didn't notice the 10k book.

You can only get crafting books if you arn't working on a personal craft. You get them from fights and you can get them while guld crafting. The craft books you get is proportional to the xp you gain during the fight and you need like at least 200 workload or something like that to get a small crafting book.

no, not craft, i got exp books, i used on my lowest lvl char, 10k books....how else would i get them if not from battle? :S cuz i got 2 now

Well trading small experience books with goncourt i find it to be lame, since u traded 20 small books and use 20k for a regular, 20 smalll books = 2000 exp, 1 regular = 100 exp, basically u lose 1k exp and also 20k....

but you save time... i mean how are yu going to get enough will to use 1k+ small books? spend some gold and u gain half the exp in a tiny fraction of time... good enough for me :P

Well if you're gonna use exp book. Might as well form a party and go on fights. This way you earn more bonus experience and also a way to level up low level character fast. And the will you can use to consume food so that you do not have to sit down and heal. Meaning forming party fighting mob = mob exp, get items and complete craft jobs if you have any. What i do with my exp book is that i basically just leave it alone. Used to spam them whenever i have spare will but now one mob gives me ard 7k exp. Thats 70small exp nook to spam meaning 700will. So i believe that gets to the point that small exp book is useless at higher level. And one more thing dont ever trade with goncourt for it......Its wasteful.

How is it wasteful to trade to Goncourt when instead you have them just sitting in your inventory? And yeah, 100 xp is nothing - but 10,000 xp is something, and is very good for leveling up new mercs. I say that when you get to 70 or so and start making good money from mobs, start really trading in your books and use them on your new mercs - your oracle, your inventor, your prophet if you haven't leveled her yet, etc.. It's amazing how quickly you can get them up if you have a bunch of 10k xp books lying around. And the money to trade them in isn't that bad since you're making several hundred k in the fights it takes to do a quest.

Also, if you don't know, you can turn in multiple xp or craft books at once at Goncourt. Just click on the number to be traded in, delete it, and type in the new number.
