For some reason I can't sit even though I've gotten the sitting quest from the shaman. Pressing X doesn't work, nor does hitting on the sit icon in the inventory window under expressions. Is this some kind of glitch? Do I have to reload the game?

Have you tried using the "sit" item in your inventory?

I said that in the OP. Right-click on the sit icon under impressions right?

No - the quest gives you an item that ends up in your inventory. You have to use it (by right-clicking on it) before you can sit. Then you should be able to press 'x' and sit.

Well that's stupid. Behold the item that gives you the power to 'sit'. Thank you anyways for your help. I really appreciate it.

Behold the thought that you need a quest to teach you how to sit. I mean, you no how to swing a weapon, cast spells, know how to loot bones and junk from corpses, but for goodness sakes you need someone to teach you how to sit?

Why do most korean games require a quest to sit?...
