I am starting to dislike the beast trainer quest

minor Rant/
Ok I ding 44, so I dash over to start my BT quest, I want that BT in my formation.:) and thought I would save the rest of the insect nest quest to level up the BT in.
Now I am thinking like when I did the Monk, I want till ding 19, and start the monk quest, by the time I end the quest line, I have dinged 20, and can add the monk.
Oh no not with the BT quest line, not even half way and almost ready to ding 47. wth ?? 3 Levels still not close to getting a BT, and strictly been doing just that Quest tree. So am I going to be going back to insect nest and leveling up on Blue Mobs??, because the time it is taking to do the quest and me leveling, that is what's going to happen.

is this what is expected with later merc quest ? leveling a half dozens times before getting merc?
I mean if the BT is a lvl44 requirement merc, then maybe the guest should have started at level 40, and not 44, or am I missing something in the read

At later levels you're going to wish you can ding 3 times off the merc quest. ;)

But yeah getting a few levels of it is normal if you started BT at 44.

At lvl 44 you can buy a BT, not necessarily do the quest.

Ding is a noise a bell makes.

I went from 51-56 doing witch quest. I was so fed up I just bought the damn exo when i hit 57 lol. It was only 2.5mil, but i just lost 3.3mil in this past arena >.<

well in most games there is a ding-a-ling when you level, which now instead of saying "I just gained another level, I am now level XX", you now just say, "I just dinged XX"
something like that, A "Ding" is just "I leveled"

I meant long as I did not expect to level 3 or 4 times doing them, not a merc quest, story lines yes. Also I was having the worse luck getting what I needed, for example the molers <SP??, I had to kill 12-16 white tigers, before I would see a moler <sp?? drop, 2 different days, 4+ hours on the same mob, just to get I think 30 molers, I can say at least I made almost 300k just killing those guys.
Some times the drops were great, 2-4 quest items for every 7-9 mobs , but the past 2 days, oh man . . I ended up stoping for a while to play my mule, heck, get the mule a few more mercs, and more storage :D

At lvl 44 you can buy a BT, not necessarily do the quest.

heh :o guess it did read like that, I just see it, as longer for the BT to ketch up in level, if I level any further.

I am not good with money, actually never crossed my mind to buy the BT, but doubt I'll have the gold to do so any ways.

I remember when I was around that range. I only had 7 people total. I was originally planning to add a BT as my 8th member but went ahead and hired a gunner. By the time the quest chain ended, my main is already near 50.

So in short, my BT didn't stayed in her orb for long.

thats your problem.if you keep quests for too long you will lose out on mobs xp and the bt quest does take a bit long to finish ^^

I had a late start in there, I not one to rush , I like it slow and easy.

I think that was why I was getting frustrated, I only had 2 quest left, and at the time I dinged 44, I figured I'd leave them for help leveling up the BT. I was not expecting the BT quest line to last as long.

I can't imagine what the inventor quest will do to your sanity, it has THIRTY-THREE (33) parts to the quest - and you need a lvl 50 princess (yes, that almost useless merc, esp to a melee main)

I love the BT quest, the only part that's a pain in the ass is when you have to go all over creation killing lions, tigers and bears oh my, but even that's not so bad. I'm probably going to complete the quest chain three more times to get my exo caught up this weekend, The 12 million+ I'm going to get for completing the quest and selling the rewards isn't too shabby either. Get the BT, reset the quest and do it again and sell the giant jewels you can select as a reward, if you use that money to buy giant crystals your BT it set until level 80 for upgrades =)

it gets worse....MUCH worse. Witch takes a reasonable amount of time for such an awesome merc. Exo takes DAYS (i lved to 60 by the time i got him). Princess is meh, u can skip it, it's pretty easy anyways. Prophet quest is LONG. Oracle quest is LONG&annoying. etc etc... But feel free to complain ^^

Go visit SuzyQ, to start quest
Location:just outside Sin Town , east of Town Outhouse

1] make 10 chocolate Milkshakes Reward: Elastic band Pants & 50000 calories
2] Raise Dance Skill to level 3 Reward :
3] Collect 30 Onion Rings from {evil Waitress, Silly Busboy}, location: half way from Sin Town to Movie Town, on the east side of the road, there is a path , lots of Evil waitress's and Silly Busboy's there
It does not matter if you tip the waitress or not, your still going to get the wrong order, so save your gold and never tip the Waitress. busboys are easy kills, try and just stick with collecting your Onion rings from Busboy's

2] collect 300 Rhinestones from {magical Disco Bob, and Evil Sorcerer DJ's}
Best to HG your front line against the Disco Bobs, their Split Kick attact can do a lot a damage to a row, Also wearing the Over sized School ring really dampers the damage they do, so give your front line the ring.

I would think a Guide like that, where the only part that would be a guide, is which rings works best , and which mobs would be the easiest to kill to complete the quest.

No you're not missing anything I was just overly vague, depending on market conditions I can get upwards of 700k per giant jewel, you get six per completion, and I repeated the quest 3 times last weekend.
