I don't mind the normal game backround music, But when im in a battle i feel like im on a playstation one playing some cheap japanese game.

you need to explore the file under BGsound > Battle.
bear in mind your file must be in ogg format, name it exactly as it shown.

and most important: BACK UP your original files.

i had all the village tracks changed to FFXI town musics. :)

I could really care less for ingame music/sound effects. I always have em off, it's better to just listen to your own music instead. ;p

Haha...no.

The terms of usage prohibit essentially any modification of anything, which is pretty general for all games/software.

It's just that no one gives a care unless you make it overtly obvious on their public forums, with your account name, etc. to point where they have to do something for sake of example towards others.

thats easy...just change the file name under the bgm folder...
but hell no, japanese bgm is way better than these ones...

if you ever go to japanese ao, you will hear custom bgm for japanese version
and some towns have different bgm than eng ver which is much better

some little modification like this should not be a problem that the developer will care. as long as you do not start modifying the core programming :)

All music is customizeable in this game you can change verything as long as u can convert to .ogg and make sure u don't change the file names. So in short you can like put Bspears for bkg music xD:eek:. :vik::vik::vik:

You would figure that if music and chats are saved on your comp they are ok with you playing with it .. this is why the core programs are located on a server that you have to conect to to play but thanks for posting how to change this spydermage I have not looked into but you made it easy :)

It doesn't actually matter if they aren't okay with it; a modification to the sound files are completely undetectable server side, and unless if a GM actually goes to your house and listens to what sounds comes out of your client, he would not even be able to see any difference. Given that, as long as you don't go into botting or packet sniffing, I highly doubt that you could be suspended for a client-side only modification.

(<-- has all voices replaces with Japanese ones. Japanese spearman sounds 100x manlier =p)
