Is monk necessary for my end game?

I am planning to make alot of awake scrolls and purifications scrolls.
By equiping those scroll, I want to replace monk with Pirate.

At lvl 120 my end game formation will be

:pra::can::femalehero:
:ora::exo::pro:

After I cast smoke bomb, I will seth will my 2nd row. What do you think?
Or should I throw out cannoner for monk?

Basically I want to use Pirate but I don't know who to replace...

I am against scrolling myself, but I was told scrolling is limited to 2 scrolls every 7 turns. As well, you wont want to waste them on awakening/purify when your opponent is running seth.

If you think scrolls can replace monks, you have another think coming.

A monk is not just there to spam awakening or holy guard, mind you, he has other uses besides that. there's this thing called
'drip-feed' aka protect or SoP

So you really want a pirate huh? well that leaves you with decisions to make, you can pretty much replace any midline mercs if you so choose to. Even witch if you want, though you will lose a strong aoe damage from the meteor that is on her, but you can have a pirate. Monks are quite a necessity, though you can experiment by running through one free league without one. From just the stat alone, pirates don't seem to be a frontline tanker so if she does go front, it'll only be for a few turns so that you can get your real frontliner back up. Pirate's poison could possibly only be a stronger version of spear's lightning spear with a DoT style ap+hp reduction instead.

monk is gonan stay unless a new class B comes out that is essentially an upgrade for monk like aoe awaken or something, the rumor new B class is a staff so there might be a slight possiblilty that new B merc can be a monk upgrade?

coz my final formation will not include him... also my main is staff, monk's SoP will not be really useful for me.

your frontline will be stunned against every pack of melee mobs and you will take full aoe from boss or magic attack mobs like guard in sunken

Yea, even if you are planning on going without a monk, you can only use pvp scrolls twice in a match. If they shoot those scrolls down with an archer/cannoneer you'll most likely get mad stunned.

I'd take out the witch for the monk, other than that you're set.
