As title says,currently im having

18 mana seal
40 mana burn
1 speed cast

my main is lv 70 axe,im planning on full pvp built,i will max speedcast later on when pvp gets intense,although the increment sux but i heard its worthwhile,manaburn is also a great skill at some point of time,the only problem i have is mana seal,sometimes,like 10% chance it miss a target,i heard ppl recommending lvl 20,so im very confused now,let me hear ur opinion :D

This is what have i've learned after going through page 2 and personally tested some stuff

*Lvling mana seal up to 20/21 gives an almost 100% accuracy hit
*Speed cast drains alot of mana at higher lvl
*Int Rings helps increase mana foundation on exo,get him vials too
*Mana Burn should be avoided on mage user,they have high mana pool,does brilliantly on low mdef(low mdef=more mana drained,much higher damage) and "combo" with mana drain for a higher chance of empty mana pool on enemy.
*Mana Burn hits a cross shape at lvl 50 upgrade
*Speed cast gives around 30ish ap per turn at lvl 80/100 upgrade at lvl 60,the increment is extremely low yet useful
*Mana Seal and Mana Burn has the same cooldown and duration,so its very situational to choose during pvp(if cooldown,both WILL be on cooldown)

i had this problem, too - so i raised mana seal to 30 - i always hit them all now^^
But to be honest - i guess 30 is a lil too high, i will restat it to 25 soon.
Besides that - to me it seems that the merc-level is more important than the skill-level when it's about hit-rate.

I was actually just coming on here to post a thread about the same thing. Here are a few questions that some other people can take a stab at answering:

1) Is there any benefit to higher levels of mana seal?
2) How much AP/HP is recovered at max speed cast? At level 40?
3) Does mana burn do less or more damage against high mdef staff using mercs?

Your lv and upgrade on the exo will determine if you skill will miss or not. Beside having a higher chance for mana seal to hit at higher lv there is not much of a benefit to lving it. Mana burn should work like other skills mdef will help lower the amount your burn thus the dmg taken, but it is pretty pointless to burn a caster's mana as they have tons anyway.

1) More DoT and more accuracy (although it's usually accurate enough before it reaches max)

3) Mana Burn does jack squat against high MDef targets.

I have 41 speedcast (with sword 45ish) and it's starting to annoy me on longer fights. Too much MP cost... mana drains pretty quick and exo doesn't have the MP pool a monk has.

It gives your mages extra AP each turn, as well as heals them a bit. I find it incredibly useful - it lets my monk do two awakenings each turn when needed, without having to worry about AP at all. I love speed cast. At level 32 (what I have right now), it gives 20 extra AP to each of my staff users each turn.

Also, mana seal *is* affected by the level of the skill. I've mentioned this before on here, but I went up against someone with an exo that was over five levels higher than my monk and my shaman, and had the level 80 upgrade. He never once managed to get both of them with a mana seal (tried three times during the fight). His mana seal was only level 1. On the other hand, my mana seal was level 21 and I never once missed his monk and oracle - despite my exo being over 10 levels lower than them and only on the first upgrade.

With speedcast the mana burn might suck via PVE, but PVP with all that mana might not be effected.

Yeah in pvp with increased mana pool its not a problem, its like the protect skill or SoP from monk, in PvE it drains your mana to oblivion, in pvp you dont have to worry about it.

yup, my thought exactly... at lv 60 speed cast, it will burn alot of MP pool isn't it? even at lv11 now (for me) every battle it sucked away 2/3 of the mana pool.

but one way to counter this is by using witch mana recharge. and witch can then mana drain to replenish her own mana pool. this is useful for long battle.

as for the mana pool problem,try equipping int rings,it adds mana pool and do growth vials on him,+int=+mana pool,personally tried and tested and helps deal some of the mana problem

I would max speed cast on exo, since it gives ap to staff users its really good. regarding mana seal, i feel that as long as it does not miss, it is good enough, while mana burn, u can pump it after the two skills

to me mana burn is kind of useless, but i still lvl it just in case when i'm down to like 3 mercs and opposition is out of melee range and i can mana burn for the extra bit of dmg ftw.

what lvl is ur mana seal? am not too sure but most monsters looked like using staff or named magician,sorcerer bla bla should work

No,it missed,it happens to be look like "nothing happen",actually u can see a quick blink of dodge words coming out of the mobs u miss

mana seal is the best spell of exorcist along with speed cast
put it to 21

Lol,my brain almost explode when i saw 3 awesome skills from exo and was playing wit it without any guide,i got lvl 38 mana burn and my exo is lvl 6X,with lvl 1 speedcast and 20 mana seal...cant be a good pvper for awhile sigh..

Is that a good build for a future PVP usage?

Right now I have 20 speed cast and 20 Seal.... slowly moving up burn since I dont use it in PvE and will PVP when higher lvl....

Burn stops seth will and possibly back row magic users if used frequently enough. For me, I like speed cast, even if mana intensive, for exo, at higher levels, lets my monk take a 2x action. Seal--high enough to not miss (what level is that actually?)

Just pump speed cast and mana seal. You won't be using mana burn ever, because mana seal is way more useful. If you want to drain mana, get a witch.
