How many point in HoD and Dark Seed?

So, I just put a point in each to try out the combo, and I must say, Im pretty impressed.

With that said, if I want to use it as a main attack combo, what is a good number of points to put in each without sacrificing too much of other things?

I have Shamans Blessing at 40 already, and I plan on having her heal primarily, but is a HoD at 11+ or something best.

Dark Seed - I have only 1 point in it now on my sword merc (you CAN have merc do it), and use him for a wicked flame sword.... but is having more points better.

Is there an optimal number to have in each like 11 in Monks awakening, etc?

And yes, I know having HoD to like 11 is dumb....I also have 8 points or so in BW... I had no idea when I started how to put spells in, and just used every books as I got it.

For PvE, it's okay to have a few messed up skills here and there. Just be sure to recruit a new shaman when you do wish to go into PvP (else waste a ton of spell resets =x).

Still, if you're really gunning for having hellfire, then Brutal Will should be your sacrifice spell (e.g. no points in BW). Hellfire damage is, if I recall correctly, determined by the level of your dark seed and HoD, so having those at a high enough level will make hellfire do more damage, as well. For Hellfire, I would personally get 40 Blessing of Life, rest in HoD, and max Bless once you start getting secret vials of potential.

Casually, though, Hellfire does decent damage even at lower levels. Thus, you can still focus on Brutal Will and leave hex of darkness at level 5. Or level 11. Or any level that you wish, provided that your dark seed levels can keep up ^^.
