It's not all about gears.
The scaling in FL helps more or less. Mind you, you probably still wont beat someone completely kitted out in +10 DG, but you can still do damage with the right strategy.
I've noticed (Fighting a few different DMF users lately) that the key to beating a DMF is breaking the front line. Once the line is broken not only are they open to silence, but their middle and back rows are usually VERY soft.
But I'm no expert. If you really have so much trouble with em, bash the hell out of one front line merc (While applying pressure with your gunner/arty) And once you break through watch the havoc ensue.

thank you it works :) but if the opponent have a witch in the middle and always HG it the fight started to get really hard because by the time i broke my opponent frontline my mercs also get some dmg because of an aoe especially if my opponent is a musiM any1 know how to counter that? or just hope that it gets into a mud fight? ^^"

Guard Dispel
and gear DOES make some part of winning in FL

Gun main dun have guard dispel, but SPIKE is the way!! Look at the number of DMF titan winners before and after druid (druid hits hard, and has BS buff- beast soul, sometimes nicknamed Bull Shit).

you could either change form but keep SMF, or go DMF. there isn't a definite way of going abt it. it is possible to beat opponent DMF with either single monk or double monk.
