Is there any way to obtain advanced growth vials aside from secret material chests? I mean... I could use those to get my bonus points, but I'd much rather get mandragora out of them.

Treasure Chests from ornate treasure maps sometimes give those, as do friendship boxes. Alternatively, buy them from the market for 130k a pop (current Thebes price, although I usually sell them for 110k =p).

Ornates give you about two each if I remember correctly and some quests will you some

From what i know of only secret material box , treasure hunting and friendship box give growth vial adv. Until the comm box adv is realease dont think there is any other mean of getting it.

Your server is expensive D=. The price of [Adv]s dropped to 120k each in Thebes (though the current market price of [Pre]s are 100k...people are weird sometimes).

For secret boxes, try ashigeru mobs in Shoguns. The drop rate isn't uber, but it's a good place to make them drop regardless.

I've had really good luck with friendship boxes lately. I'm usually afk crafting in our town when the guild meeting is, and the past two days I've gotten six adv growth vials from the 10 boxes (5 each day). Most days I don't get a single one, though. :P

Too bad you can only get 5 friendship boxes a day :( Still, it's free and easy for something that you get just for AFKing in a town for an hour.

Ugh, secret material boxes are so rare. And soooo many crafts ask for lousy mandragoras-_-

Good question laz, I'd like to know that too.

Of course, if you don't need the mandragoras to craft, sell them and buy the potions with that money instead.
I've been doing a lot of town quests lately, mostly in the shadow part of the Hanging Gardens (slave gladiators, bowmen, ...) and in the Valley of Kings (non-shadow) and I've been getting some secret chests, so it may be not such a bad place to farm there (better check the item info anyway to see which monsters drop them most).

Oh, and I think (would have to check too) that the price of growth vial adv is even higher on Mycenae, we're doomed :mad:

It swings around 350 - 400k in Thebes. Not something I can afford to buy at the moment :/.

There doesn't seem to be a License for Valley of the Kings quest, so I'm guessing no. :(

The main quest line is non-repeatable. However, all side quests after the BT quest are. (correct me if im wrong)

And on the note of growth vials...are they worth spending all that money? I mean, the adv ones arent cheap...and pre ones are even more expensive.

They are, IMHO. I was level 87/88 in FL and not updated with my growth vials, and got my ass handed to me by a level 79 in my guild who kept up with the upgrades. Wasn't a close battle at all, my mercs were squishy and his weren't. I'd beaten him before and I asked him what was different this time around, he told me he maxed growth vials and updated rings.

I spent around 30mil just now buying 89 growth vials for my front line, and while the difference isn't stellar, it's enough to make a noticeable difference.

Yes, they sure help, but even more if you're lucky of course, getting max int bonus will surely help you flame sword longer, but won't make you much stronger ;)

The random factor is irritating, but it's even crazier to start buying refund vials and start again, considering the prices of the growth vials and the fact that it can be even worse afterwards.

Until now, it's been ok with my mercs, all the bonus points are spread more or less evenly on all the stats. Of course, I'd like more vit or str sometimes, but I can't complain.

About the redo licenses, don't know if it's all the side-quests, but all the merc quests, that's for sure, and the "special" ones like Gepetto or Pedro (so I guess almost all of them :D)

Still, if someone could tell us which repeatable Valley quest gives secret material chests, that'd be nice, thanks.

Geteppo and Pedro don't give you vials. However, they are repeatable through their respectable licences (by going to hui chao)

And, as far as i know, there are no valley quests that give you secret material chests.

and I hate the random factor. It gave my musician main 45 int...and 120 str -.-

My sugestion is to buy the vials from merchants. Once in awhile there will be rumours that a merchant is selling growth vial[adv] (and other stuff, like repair stones or ornate maps), so just buy from there, I think its 5k or 1k. Note that you need 100% will and can only buy a few vials at a time though.

Are you sure about the rumors part ?

I watch those announecements almost all the time, and although I've seen manager's scrolls up to (Pre) and ornate treasure maps, I've never seen growth vials up to (Adv).

But I may be wrong.

I think ive seen adv ones in rumors before..but its like 2 per 100 will...

I personally do not want to sit there for 10 hours waiting for will...so have fun with that -.-

If that's true, it's still worth it.

You just have to auto-craft in that town and buy two or three of each every 10 minutes. Not a bad deal since they come so cheap with merchants in towns.

NPC merchants don't sell Growth Vial (Adv), just (Mid). I AFK too much in town to notice this, unfortunately :(

Quest "Isis - Level 67 - Valley of the Kings Quest - 4. Hopeless Scamp, Seth" rewards 10 Growth Vial (Adv). I've checked the Licenses and asked my guildmates -- this is part of the main quest line and is not a repeatable quest.
