Hunting Redemption Crystals

So, redemption crystals starts dropping at Bran Shadow correct? I was wondering what floor would be the safest place to hunt them? Also, around what level should I be able to go there solo?

For my giant crystal needs, I usually gather them in Mohen Shadow 3F. The monsters in there have very little HP so they die easily. Their normal attacks seems to be a "bow" type since they can attack any member of my party. This is actually good as this removes focus fire/stun on my front row.

Any other tips would be appreciated. I try to avoid buying crystals if I can find them myself.

I've soloed the entirety of the witch quest (minus Woeful Countessa) at level 53, so I'd say that anything above 52 is good for soloing.

As for floors:
Shadow Jail 1F does NOT have redemption crystals.
Shadow Jail 2F is the safest floor to hunt redemption crystals. However, you will get very low drop rates; the evil wolves on this floor do not drop crystals at all, so your chances are already reduced by the frequency of elite prison guards. It is safer than the other floors, though; evil wolves do crap damage and have no skills, and having dull sword rings effectively makes evil prison guards moot.
Shadow Jail 3F is the most annoying floor to hunt redemption crystals, although still "safer" than 4F. All of the mobs here are magic, so null magic rings will take you very, very far. However, the constant DoTs get very annoying given the length of the battle, and you have to loot constantly due to the wonderful rezzing mobs.
Shadow 4F is the most dangerous floor, although the best floor if you can handle it. The dolls here love to pop Brutal Will, and no matter what anti-weapon ring you have, there will always be that rogue doll that has a weapon you are not anticipating (4x staff strike/doll rush). You should be able to handle the floor, though it might not be as efficient if you don't already have a witch to meteor strike + beast summon down a party.
Countessa Room is a bad place to hunt crystals. If you're hunting them in here, you are either irrational or insane.

Amazingly enough, the best way to hunt redemption crystals is not actually to hunt redemption crystals, but actually to hunt giant crystals and sell them to buy redemptions (the prices for the two should be roughly equivalent). Mohenjotaro mobs are waaaay easier to solo, and the drop rates for giants are much better than redemption.

hunt phoenix and trade em in XD onm y server its like 30k per phoenix but other servers r 100k + no? they're easy to farm too

I farm them in bran 3f (i find this floor has a better drop rate than 4f) and since mobs are very easy you can auto-battle while watching a movie ;)
you can farm it in heart of laby too but that's harder

Thanks for the replies. I never knew those -dmg rings were actually useful. I only went there once. I do remember those dolls that went bonkers on my teammate.

You'll fight two mob types, the lionmen and the wolfmen. Guess what, they dont have any skills! They just like to bumrush your front line.

So what will you need?
6x Ring of Dull Swords +x
(the higher the better, +3 would probably be fine, but rule of thumb is adjust this according to your level and/or gear. Don't worry, its not too crazy that you have to spend lots, and its not TOO big of a deal)
Item info on the two mobs. Ask around, they are common. Although this is not really necessary, its HIGHLY recommended.

Remember: Don't let your front line get stunned! They take extra damage when stunned!

So what notable items can you get?
Powder of Life: I think its a "Very High" drop off of these mobs. They sell decently and are always in demand! You'll get a lot of these :)
Growth Vial[Mid]: These drop fairly well. By the time I got 10 redemption crystals, I also had like 6-12 of these. If you need em, great, use em! If not, sell em, they sell well :)
Bran Castle Equipment Box: You'll get these probably at the same rate that you get the growth vials. Up to you what you do with them :)
Dark Knight Equipment Box: To be honest, these aren't are rare here, I often get 2-6 per redemption crystal run.
Redemption Crystal: thats why you're here :P. IMO, its probably the same drop rate or really close drop rate to what you will get in jail 3f or 4f...

I personally think the other items you can get far outshine the "magical unconfirmed but i said so so it is higher drop rate" in jail. Its also easier to handle compared to jail...

I never reallly notice the Labyrinth drop redem because the princess was so short I was in and out of there in like 1 hour. Maybe i can give the place a try because the mobs there was pretty easy. Another place that you can try for redem crystal is shadow VOK 3rd fl where the sphinx are. They dont give the best drop rate but they drop every now and then and u get other good drop plus lots of xp if you already out lv shadow jail.

Haha, from what my fren told me... dont bother farming it.
Just go get to higher level and buy all of them.
1v1 at babylon fetch you about 10k each... 2 battle = 1 redem +quest reward :D

uhhh.... depends on the market really. occasionally the botters will unload all their farmed crystals into the market, and redemptions can drop down to 20kish, but then after like a day or two, they are back up to 50-60k...

the crystals cost less within times >_>...
i suggest you just try to level as hard as you can
you get quite nice exp and money from all quests
it helps you making money faster and stronger so you can solo and farm them all with autobattle

Yes of course, farming crystals with 3 people is just a waste of time so lvl up and farm it after ( for example i used autobattle in bran 3f around lvl 65 without trouble)

Almost 100% certain this is not true. I farm my ashen crystals still (I use 'em for crafting rings) and I always farm them at the Sea King's Palace Courtyard. I still get about the same number in 50 battles as I did when I was level 30 and first started farming them.

Just go for the puppeteer title. You'll probably be swiimming in redemptions by the time you manage to rack up 5k alloy mage doll kills. I've obtained 300 redemptions so far and I'm still only at 1.7k kills!

Good suggestion you can kill 2 bird with one stone. I probably wont be hunting the dolls anymore. It really hurts when u fight all night to see you didnt even gain 1xp. Probably going to try a higher dung and hope for the best.

Well, I will keep trying on getting more statistics about the drop rate vs level. Any higher lvls can clarify this?

This may sound weird, but I found myself getting more redemption drops with 0 stamina(redoing witch quest)

There were also times when I got 20 giant crystals on a group in Mohen 2F after running in circles for about 10 seconds. It's probably mostly luck that it happened (though it might, possibly, and coincidentally be that less chance for other items to drop leads to more redemptions somehow).

I'd still prefer jail over cretan shadow though. The staff mobs at 3F do pathetic damage.

i have not try to solo at mohen 3F. but if i can do it for bran 2F, i shd be able to solo at mohen 3F... i guess... :)

Giant Crystals seem to drop really quickly if you can find a good group for it.

Got 15 redempt during 1 reset of witch quest (*3)
so 15 redempts and 6 jewels is totally worth it (you can take jewels and sell it to buy redempt, you'll get more than 30) and the quest is easy and quick

Well, if you want redemption, the best way to get is .. reset the BT quest, get the giants crystal/jewel and sell/trade them for redemption xD

Really, BT is much easier than witch quest, and rewards are almost the same
