formation staff from level 1

what is the best staff formation at level 1 till the end? can someone recommend me?

Uh, there's an aoe pressure build that you can use with an evas scud staff main. There's no "best" with main, in fact, a staff main actually suffers in end game due to their low hp count as well as low def/dodge on armor.
But since you can heal you can go for a :swm: frontline for good def or :spm: frontline for good attack, with spear, you heal more.
Other than that, don't see much staff builds.

I am currently running a staff main, but I am not sure of my definite build. On the build you are describing, more than likely the staff main was based more on hex of darkness and evanscud damage with the Oracle "main healing".

I wouldn't use the gunner though. IMHO, there are just crappy. I would probably even change out the viking and artillery. If you're using three spearmen, that's three guys that lower the AP of the opposing mercs.

These are just my ideas and I am by no means an expert. As I said, I am still trying to work out the kinks in my group and figuring out some stuff.

most ppl use spears to brutal will w/ a front line

and line dmg is harder to recover from since heal is a row

my current team at lv 67 is as such:

my shaman will be replaced with oracle later. archer replace with prophet and gunner with inventor (most likely).

i dun play pvp, so any disadvantage for pve?

I know there's a level 98 staff main who does pretty good, formation is something like.

He brutal will's the mid row. Since most people target BT he switches it with exo when needed. His spears do crazy damage... ?_

Nah...this can be countered. I did run into a similar formation, spear frontline, but sword(M), not staff(M).

1. Okay...here's what can be done. Lightning spear the spear in the middle. Once that spear falls, screw the viking. when viking down, freeze axe last row. Game over from here.
2. meanwhile, use monk to spam awakening (over time it doubles as a weak heal)
3. Fine, i let my beast master die. what matters are my spears are intact, & my exo is applying mana seal (then freeze axe comes in when needed)
4. Holy guard frontline to avoid lightning spear. Just note, those spears hurt with normal attacks. mana seal means no seth will to make them more dangerous. But as if spears aren't dangerous enuff.
5. Do column damage, or better still, use cannons or guns (if you have either of those). as healing only occurs in a row, and 2 healers cannot cover 3 rows. eventually you will pile on the damage.
6. If you have prophet, spear debuff can reduce the hurt those spears can give you.

I dunno your formation, if I know your formation perhaps i can suggest ways to counter this.

The formation mentioned by jimsta even more dangerous, esp since the spears are midline, and can last longer to really HURT.
