View Full Version : Only Class D Merc... what should I put

(Sorry for my english, I came from local server with translated text and speech)
I am new to AO, level 40 musician, having a fews question:

1. I plan to playing to level 100 with all class D Merc. then setting all of them to adventure (Game help said, they will give me some good item). Is it worth to set them to that adventure?

2. OK, if it worth to release a set of merc to adventure, I plan to set all class D when they hit level 100. What is the best set of them that can take me to level 100 fast.
I plan for 2xSpear, 2xGun, Viking, Artil, Monk, Shaman. Is this set work ?

Now I have these set, and plan to recruit monk today (just reach 40)

Any suggestion to improved.

PS: If that sort of adventure is not worth to sacrifice level 100 merc, then I will considered take some better merc.

1. when u set them off at lvl 100, they will NEVER COME BACK to your PARTY.
2. the chances of good items are rather small. you would most likely get CRAP ITEMS for more than half the time.
3. and you MUST send them WHAT THEY WANT, or the friendship will be lower. lower friendship means lower quantity of items. taking a one month holiday? come back to see your friendship with mercs DROP HARD.

Then is it possible for musician main to have 2xspear with 2xgun?

I worry about Exocist and Artillery

Exocist is useful, especially when I focus on stun.

For artillery man, I was told that his DI stack with my skill very very good.

So what should I do

1) Choose Artillery man

::::::: I shall train eaier than other build, isn't it ?

2) Choose Exocist
:spm::vik::spm:
:gun::gun::malehero:
:mnk::sha::exo:
::::::: To seal staff when stun landing

3) Remove Viking
:spm::malehero::spm:
:gun::art::gun:
:mnk::sha::exo:
::::::: Freezing is good to force HL, also help me out from many situation while training.

4) Remove spearman - -

PS: Gunner will be replaced with Inventor and Janni ASAP.

I wouldnt even bother trying to use only the same D class mercs to 100. Just make your starting formation. Switch out mercs and add new D/C class mercs as you make your way too 100. When any merc you dont want that is over 100 is going to be replaced send him/her off as an independant merc. No point going to 100 with only D class mercs, sending them ALL away, then having no mercs left :/
