Have someone used Mintrel?
I'm very interested in her Halucination skill so I want to know how it works.

I have only ever seen one used before, granted, I don't watch every single FL match that goes on.

But, this is what I could find on the Mistrel's skill in question:

Hallucination

Makes the enemies hallucinate and unable to use magic.
Hit: Character
Target: Anywhere but 3rd enemy in a full column
(cannot affect main character/boss)
Cooldown: 3
Action Power: 150
Duration: 2
Health: -626 (PvP: -308)
Great skill for strategy!

Was it so that the guy on the Hallucination couldn't attack either? As in a single man freeze on the first or second row

Is the Minstrel worth going for? I mean, I have only seen one so I can't say for sure that they are in high demand, least not that common.

Minstrel Skills:
1) Salvation - removes allies' magical effects and heals them
2) Hallucination - deals damage to a single unit and makes it so they cannot use magic
3) Seal Power Saw - prevents saw-users from using magic

I believe she's strictly a PvP merc and is not worth getting unless you're into PvP. She's not that great when it comes to PvE formations.

My two cents:
I tried running one in my SMF formation and came to the conclusion that she's basically just worse than a second monk.

Hallucination is a single-target freeze that can hit a target in the first or second rows. It has a long cooldown (3 turns). After much frustration, I came to the conclusion that the UI is bugged and lights up the button even when you have only 2 turns of cooldown built up, but that the ability itself DOES work.

Salvation is a column purification that removes all friendly AND hostile spell effects, including HG.

I tried several gimmicks as well with her. One was using a shaman instead of an oracle since everybody in my formation would benefit from NS (no rows blocked by HG). NS is difficult to pull off and relatively easy to stop, so this wasn't all that effective.

Another was using column puri immediately after warcry to remove it and Seth the cleansed row for 2 turns of unstoppable Seth damage. It consumed a lot of AP moving the mercs into a column for puri, then back to a row for Seth. It sometimes worked, but was extremely inconsistent and on average, not worth it.

Other than that, a minstrel is just a bad substitute for a monk. You can't afford to attack with her, or she won't have AP to puri your monk when you need to awaken. Purification doesn't block flameblow/meteor or DOT application, so its damage-prevention qualities are much inferior to HG's. It doesn't stop lightning spears, so it's also weaker there. If you want to reduce DOT damage, you spend too many activations purifying column after column, and the minstrel honestly doesn't regen enough AP to keep it up the whole fight anyway.

In the end, I got her to 105 and then shelved her in favor of a more offensively-oriented SMF. If I really wanted to win, I'd probably drop her for a second monk instead.
