Which is better? Wow or Ao

I posted a wrong thread at the Game Guide corner. Anyone knows how to delete a thread? Also like i stated above which game do you think is more fun? For me i choose Ao since 1, its free to play. 2, the tactical battle system really crank up my interest level.

Functions? I know Wow has a lot of function but the main difference i can think of is the battle system and that its free to play. What function does Ao have that Wow do not? The mail service? Or things like autocraft and fishing?

Anyways, I think Ao is better as it is free to play, and I don't like the gloomy scenery in WoW. The storyline in Ao is better too. :3

Reason why i compared Ao to Wow is that in my opinon i think Atlantica has the potential to become a big hit like Wow in the long run. Also a lot of things are similar to Wow such as the ability to craft. Guild dungeons and etc.

Hey i have tried out wow for awhile and found it unable to retain my interest long enuff...
But AO, i am now a whopping lvl61(nt that high i noe), there alot of things to do beisde [Ao 9/10 (arena betting,Free League,Crafting)] you can, try out new formation, redo the watever quest again with frens(high or low lvl), court someone, nation dungeon, guild craft and most imptly... auto run,

I been playing wow since the release, got to top of the food chain as well in pvp. (rank 1 arena ladder, 3 times gladiator title etc...)

I must say I enjoy AO a lot more than WoW right now. :D

Why is it that WoW is compared to EVERY other game out there? Even if they have absolutely nothing in common, they're still compared with eachother.

AO F2P and a new type of mmorpg. A genre by its own. WoW is like any other, the only reason it got the publicity that it had was because it was made by Blizzard, which got its fame from SC/WC series. AO may not have such a huge jump since the company is not as well known, but it's still a great game.

PS. We wouldn't be here if we didn't like AO..and we wouldn't be over in WoW if we didn't like that.

AO is one of them games that doesnt come along very often, in mmorpg's its kinda unique but not quite, but still its one hell of a game and for my mind it blows wow out of the water, i've played wow on offical, private server and even ran my own server for a lil while so i got to know a lot about it and, well, it bores me, big time - AO just keeps my interest over and over - so much to do so much to learn with wonderful people you meet every day

wow was famous because of the previous warcraft games 1, 2 and 3 ;)

Well bias in a sense maybe...after all this is a forum about Ao......Well but i think Wow really was a fun game so i just wanna know how people feel about the difference in this 2 games. For Wow the raid is enjoyable if you like big parties of 25man raiding a dungeon. For Ao more of a soloable game except for the later parts and in merc recuirtment quest. Of cuz not denying that you can always party right from the low levels with your frens. Well all in all just want to know i think these 2 games are really currently the best mmorpg i played.

Maybe i phased wrongly. What i mean is which game is more fun. Since they are both games their primary objective is to make players feel that its fun. So once again which game do you think is more fun? So if you change the word to which is better and which is more fun it makes more sense doesn't it? So as long as they are games and when talking about which is more fun. Definitely there is something to be compared. Put aside the battle style game system all these technical things. Its something much more simple, which game makes you play for hours without stopping. Which game do you dream about when you fall asleep. When you are in school which game do you think about? Ya something like that.

I like AO more... but i have quite a lot of frens who are playing WoW.
I always talk to them about it and listen to wat it offers and stuffs..

But yea, from what i've seen/experienced, there lack the sense of having huge parties storming dungeons etc, in AO....only 27 man team that seems insistent on attacking a monster and returning to their spot.

the fighting system is the best thing ever made for a mmog imo. all games are just spam skills from 1 - 0 and thats it. boring as hell. Here pvp is amazing and how u build your mercs, and which mercs u use and how u use them takes a lot of skill. And skill is what other mmo games lack

WOW and AO are on different fields. AO offers something different something unique however there are bugs and quirks. The grind is as bad as WOW but overall I choose AO, for now :) I like the unique fighting system and guild/nation/towns

AO is a great game, i thoroughly enjoy the turn based action and the crafting, and especially that the game is free.

WoW of course has its benefits, huge fanbase, great graphics and fairly frequent expansions as well as well organized guilds and great team based playing with raids

Well they have different purposes in my opinion, if your a player who like PvE and wants a game with good PvE wow would be the choice to make no doubt, as far as it stands in PvP AO is definitly better on my opinion but the whole turn play thing might not cater to alot of ppl, in the end it becomes a mater of personal opinion and its more a vote about what do you like better and since this is a forum about AO its normal that it will win by a large ammount of votes :P

I never played WoW and I don't intend too. My life style isn't to go with the masses. I find myself unique because I don't do so. I played a 2D Mmorpg for 4 years, then I tried out AirRivals, that ended up being cool but much like a normal game like WoW, just with planes. Argo mobs and passive mobs, I don't think they had crafting.

But Anyways, after a little break in Lineage with friends a few years ago, and some Counter Strike, I finally found this gem of a game somehow. Utterly unique, and right after I finished FFV and FFXII. I couldn't believe there was finally a game with combat like in FF. AO makes me druell when I think about it.

I love(ed) WoW but had to quit, I was higher lvl raid grinding and it was another job. As much as people hate the constraints on this game (stam, will, box/book limits) I like them. I also like how I can play for a few hours and feel accomplished. Course this is all low level talk, perhaps the max lvl grind is the same deal. I do like the guild town nation setup.

The main reason I chose to give Atlantica a try is because I'm a huge ancient civilization dork (this game not having Mesoamerican cultures is upsetting, but I'll live) and I was HIGHLY curious of a MMO with turn based strategy PVP play. I like it so far. Some stuff is tedious, and I'm still not used to the crazy high numbers in Atlantica's economy. WoW kept their economy in the thousands, Atlantica has it in the millions. No big deal.

AO definitily. I played AO and got a lvl 40 and then completely quit because it's just too monotonous for me. I've played AO for a while and the story keeps me interested and they made it quick enough pace so it doesn't get as bad. Also if you do get tired of questing their is always something else to do.
