How do the following skills work?

Rusty Axe/ Shattered spear or sword... the prophet skills, and seal staff from exo

cuz sum1 told me that they prevent ppl w/ those weps from casting, however, others told me that it just weakens their atk, but htey can still cast

The prophets skills and the exos seal staff weaken the enemies attack.

The skill that prevents others from casting is the exos mana seal and it only works on staff users.

Spears vs will lines, not many people run lines of axes or swords.

On my level 88 prophet, I have 50 concentrate, 28 spears, 10 axe.

Most people with swords use their skills anyways and not basic attack. (the debuff only affects their basic attack damage.

what are you talkin about...a lot of people seth their dual axe midline. the axe one is the good one to get. the signets dont reduce lightning spear/flame sword damage though

And for an entirely different perspective, most PVE mobs are swords and that's a really good one to have for monsters.

Yes, that's a build people use but as far as I've seen of will lines in final rounds of WK/high level FL, frequency of spear line is far more than axe line.

Unless on your server it's totally different.

Otherwise Jimsta's distribution of points is perfect.

not sure I don't really use my prophet(too low to be of any help atm) but what seems like the best bet would be axe and spear they're the most common melee mains

Lv 60 Conc is kinda obvious. That leaves 40 skill points, or 70 if vials are used. I would recommend maxing one debuff, either spear or axe. My choice is spear. Low level ones don't reduce much, but high level - well, that's called a debuff!

Swords for PvM, usually, but Axe or Spear for PvP. ...I guess you're really encouraged to have more than one Prophet in this game (in merc rooms, since you can only have one out at a time)

I would go with spear first then axe. Most ppl tend to run spear more then the other two. On top of that spear reach you mind line which is hard to heal unlike axe where you can heal up all the merc that get dmg. Nerfing the dmg on spear would make more sense to me.

Unless you really think pve is your main concern sword is probably not a great choice as all sword user in this game have really good skill sets. Would be silly to do reguarly atk if the skill is available.

Another thing in favor of spear is that an axe typically hits your front row, which is where you put all your tanks. Spears, however, hit the second column instead, which is where all your soft spongy rangers and staff users are. And even with the reduced damage a spear gets on the second column compared to the first, a shaman or archer doesn't last very long with that speartip plunging through their soft belly.

Another reason why you wan to go spear is cause normally in a formation either they have 2 or 3 spear or they have none. Like mine, last i had one spear but i deem it to be useless if i only had one thus i toss it away. And spear does ridiculous dmg with brut will. So it will be the most effective to disable the spears. Secondary you can go with either axe or sword, not much preference there.

Yup, need to have at least 2 spear to make the -ap of LS work, one spear wont make any different. Spear with brutal/seth will is XD.
