omg wtf SWINE FLU?

Ok, now for those of us living in the USA, swine flu is now a horible thing. It has been exagerated heavily by the government and media and now everything has gone crazy. to the point that SCHOOL IS CANCELED FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS!

ok, fine, so i get to play AO for two weeks straight, but still, I think this is CRAZY!!!!

exaggerated or not, its better to be safe than sorry... :)

we don't know yet if the virus can turn into something more dangerous that maybe more catastrophic than what SARS did, so precaution must really be taken now...

in the philippines, no one yet has gotten the swine flu (that is what i know for the moment).. and i hope no one will. its the middle of summer vacation right now so school is a no issue today but then there are those having their vacation outside the country which may bring the virus with them home here...

honestly im not to alarmed but a little scared..

bah, its just a mutated flu virus. Treat it as you would a normal flu. I mean, Winter is Flu season (in USA) and everyone's like "get your flu shot, it'll protect you." Does that mean they close school in the winter? (....no, it doesnt)

My school suddenly sents out an email saying that there was a case at our school, and the health commissioner of NY closed the school for 2 weeks. Everyone was like YAY, NO SCHOOL!! LOTS OF ATLANTICA!!!

but then later that day, another email says that school will only be closed for 1 week. The next morning, another email says that theres school the next day.

So in other words, the health commissioner of NY was stupid. gg

All of those were covered in health, and options for treatment and preventablility were all presented.

Swine flu was a new disease, which is why everyone freaked after 1 person died. However, no one cares about it now because it was just a normal flu strain that was slightly different. We adapted to it and now no one cares anymore.
