need help on spear main

what build merc can spear main can do?

i mean hybrid? aoe?

my newb is currently level 20

so what merc should i get

interested on getting monks

Well, if you're going for 2 monks in your party, then you should make it a meele heavy or range heavy formation, no hybrid. (well spearmain in a range heavy formation wouldn't work, so in your case go with meele heavy :p)

If you're going meele heavy, then you should have a 6-2-1 formation.
6 meele
2 monks
1 prophet
for the 6 meele, there's tons you can do, you won't be doing Aoe/DoT type attacks in battle, just mainly focus firing.

Yea that could be good, but the only problem is that you have no prophet, and it would be ok if you had other range mercs but with only meele you can't hit the back row/witches with basic attack.

So lets say a backrow merc gets a scroll in pvp, the only way to hit it is if you had a range merc, and prophet makes a good range merc in meele heavy formations since it has a passive skill that heals all meele mercs every round. So it's like having the protect skill on every merc.

Having 2 monks and an oracle is kind of overkill since you could use that space as a damage dealer, I'd either just go with 2 monks, or 1 monk 1 oracle.

if i want to change it for a witch/prophet which merc should i loose on? the 2nd monk?

yes take the 2nd monk out dont need so much...
one monk will do after the lv 50 upgrade ^^!

2nd monk is good if u are planning to put your main up front to tank some dmg. with sop and protect he should be able to tank 2 rounds and then move him back to get healed up

now spear main vs axe main, is just me or spear main doesn't do anything ? besides do more dmg?

o and you need lady knight cuz she is uber kool xD

if u get spear main, then u need a few more spears in ur party, only good thing abt spear main is another person to lightning spear w/ @ high lvls, lvl 80...spear team = gg, lightning spear their whole team they'll rarely get to move, it'll atk whole column

or the fact that u dont need to put ure main on 1st row/have a willed spear row and can put prophet in the third row xD
