Build request

I'm new to the game (50's) and I think I made the wrong choices in choosing my mercs. I just got the With last night and don't know which merc to replace. I want the build to be viable in PvP and also hold up in PvE. This is what I currently have:

Also, which merc should I upgrade first? I only have ~110 Ashen Crystals.

Your mistake is in having 1 spear, 1 gunner(work in pairs), and the BT/Viking in the front row(Low magic defence). First, I suggest either replacing the spearman with a gunner, or the gunner with a spear(seeing as you are range, i think gunner is best for you. But you might need tanks, so in this case I will say go for spearman). I also recommend replacing the viking with a sword, and then switching the BT place with a spear. People are likely to aim your spear first. When your spear is dying, move it back and switch it with the other spear/bt.

As for future upgrades, you will prolly want to replace 1 spear with exo. That will leave you with 1 spear again, but this time you can choose to keep it or change it to another merc, maybe witch.(In which case you would hide your bt behind it as witch acts as a magic filter). So, your team would look something like this:
